THE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: A STUDY IN THE ORGANIZATIONS OF THE STATE OF RIO GRANDE DO SUL

Abstract


The social responsibility is an issue each day more important in the behavior and study of the organizations that not long ago worried mainly about the increase of the profits and the production. The research aimed at verifying the programs of social responsibility carried out by nine enterprises of the state of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil; and the impact of these programs. Concerning its ends the research was exploratory and descriptive; concerning its means it was of field and bibliographical. The results of the research contributed for the study about Social Responsibility, as they contributed with the knowledge related to the issue, agreggating values to the studies already done in the area and becoming important for the business community, as providing empirical evidences about the programs carried out by the organizations of the research, showing their performance in relation to the Social Responsibility.
