A STUDY ABOUT THE PAUL HERSEY´S AND KENNETH BLANCHARD´S SITUATIONAL LEADERSHIP MODEL APPLIED ON A BRAZILIAN SMALL SIZE COMPANY

This study presents the application of situational leadership model on a Brazilian small size information technology company. The research aimed to identify the contribution possibilities of this method to the leadership development in the organization. A theoretical review about conceptual aspects of leadership and the Situational Leadership was presented. The case study reached to identify the leadership profile the company´s executives, through answering to a specific research tool. The study showed that the flexibility and adaptability of the leaders was below the necessary level, for an efficient leadership actuation. It was therefore recommended training for the leaders based on the concepts of Situational Leadership.Downloads
