Abstract

The social tourism is a way to democratize the access to travel and leisure, promoting social equality and sociability of the lower classes economically and socially. This segment is a challenge to tourism professionals because is difficult enable programs without profit and also applied to underprivileged classes. Was understanding the importance of social tourism theme for the academic formation of new tourism professionals, as well as understanding the possibility of contributing to a more just society, the upper reaches of Technology in Tourism Management has developed a proposal for a pedagogical activity to combine theory and practice. This article aims to present the topic, as well as share this teaching model. It is hoped that this paper can contribute to the study of social tourism and new forms of teaching.
