Organizational and work values: a study with young workers in Brazil
Keywords:
Values, organizational values, work values, young workers, methodological triangulationAbstract
This study sought to describe and analyze organizational and work values of young workers. These were chosen according to their idiosyncrasies and work contexts in which they are integrated. We conducted a descriptive case study with quantitative and qualitative approaches (methodological triangulation). Data from 670 questionnaires and 20 interviews were submitted to statistical and content analysis, respectively. There was a convergence between organizational values ("achievement") and work ("work fulfillment"), which support behaviors aimed at achieving goals and career building, enabling lifelong learning and personal and professional growth. Given the findings and limitations of the study an agenda for future research has been proposed.Downloads
