Abstract

This article presents a study on the characteristics of Portuguese
youth tourism demand, such as students in Higher Education. The
size and scope of the territorial sample collected allows a
characterization of this segment of demand, by Portuguese
regions/NUT II. At the same time, it is possible to distinguish the
main High students tourism motivations and the existence of
factors that induce a territorial differentiation. It is important to
note that in Portugal this segment of tourism demand is quite
unexplored and more research is needed.
