DIAGNOSIS OF TOURIST ACTIVITY IN SANTO ANTONIO DE LISBOA: A COMPARATIVE 2002-2012

ABSTRACTThe study rescues the diagnosis of the tourist activity in the district of Santo Antonio de Lisboa - Florianópolis / SC, Brazil –in the particulars years of 2002 and 2012. The diagnosis considered the activity in space, for the survey and analysis of natural, historic and artistic cultural property and changes identified in the period. Consequently there has been the analysis of opportunities, weaknesses and threats derived from the process of activity expansion in space. In the second step happened the collection of primary data through interviews with various actors of relevance to the place, in different time periods. Could be observed that tourism is the major source of employment and income in place, which is the visitation focus. The use of heritage in tourism is seen as crucial to the development of the same, yet their commitment may affect your attractiveness. The occupation process of space is controlled for legal aspects, but the discussion of community spaces do not meet the collective demands, and lack of legitimacy in local bodies is evident. Space and landscape deserve greater effort to preserve and maintain and in some areas there are conflicts derived from processes of demarcation between public and private spaces. Among the positive aspects, highlights the employment increase and income and improvement of infrastructure. Negative aspects listed were the real estate speculation, tenuous deliberative citizenship and overlapping private interests in public areas. The analysis shows that the process of development of tourism has reproduced progressive logic of social exclusion or deprivation of residents to the exercise of deliberative citizenship.
