Arthur Araújo has a MSc in business management from the University of Aveiro and a degree in Tourism from the Federal University of Pernambuco, in Brazil. He has worked in the areas of tourism management (in Destination Management Organizations), educational tourism and statistic research in tourism. His publications and research interests include: film-induced tourism, slum-tourism, tourism marketing, tourism management and sustainable tourism. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in the University of Aveiro, and his studies are funded by the Coordination for Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) of Brazilian Ministry of Education. Additionally, he is a member of the Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies (GOVCOPP); as well as of the Dream destination project research team, and an Assistant Professor at the Lusophone University of Porto.
